On 20 March, Colégio Monte Maior held its Green Flag raising ceremony as part of the Eco-Schools project for the 2024/2025 academic year. The ceremony included a special performance dedicated to forest protection, presented by students from the school. This moment reflected students’ creativity and active engagement with environmental issues, showcasing the work developed throughout the year. The Eco-Schools Green Flag recognises the school community’s continued commitment to sustainability and responsible practices. At Colégio Monte Maior, these themes are integrated into the curriculum, enabling students to take part in projects, develop skills and strengthen their knowledge in this area. Through initiatives such as Eco-Schools, the school promotes an educational approach that values academic excellence alongside students’ civic development. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking, independence and a sense of responsibility, preparing them to contribute consciously and actively to society.
