Held in Torres Novas through an inspiring partnership with the municipality, the Eco-Schools National Seminar 2025 was far more than a meeting. Over two full days, educators, school representatives, local authorities and environmental organisations from across the country came together with a shared purpose: to rethink education for a more sustainable future. The programme was designed to inspire ideas and action. Through moments of reflection on today’s environmental challenges, practical workshops offering concrete tools and lively educational forums, the seminar created a valuable space for shared learning. Teachers from all stages of education and municipal teams exchanged experiences, inspired one another and worked together to find new ways to bring sustainability into the classroom and into the heart of their communities. One of the most memorable moments of the seminar was the recognition of work that helps shape positive change every day. CMM was honoured to receive the Eco-Schools quality seal for the 2023/2024 academic year. More than an award, this seal is a symbol of the daily commitment of the whole school community, including students, teachers and families, to building practices that make a real difference. It shows that educating for environmental, social and economic sustainability is not only a goal of the 2030 Agenda, but a mission already taking place, school by school and action by action. We left the seminar with the certainty that change begins with education and with renewed energy to continue nurturing a greener, fairer and more conscious future.
